Well, to be honest I haven’t yet decided if I’m really going to proceed writing my travel blog. But so far it has been fun and reading former blogs I realise how quick I forget certain experiences, which is a shame. Up to now I’ve visited 68 countries on more or less adventurous trips, depending on how well developed the respective country was.
I’ve startet to travel well before the www has been established, internet booking were common and even before travel books and mobile phones and google have been launched. How I did my research? Not at all… I just flew to my destination and got my information by talking to local people. Of course, sometimes it was difficult, I had a lot if unknown variables and I spent more than one day sleeping at a tropical beach laking a hotel reseration or money, but it was fun and I wouldn’t miss a thing. I’ve often regretted that I’ve never written a day book. That’s exactly why I’ve started this blog about 28 month ago and even nowadays on my way to work I read parts of it and dream away on „old“ memories. Imagine to do so at an old age encourages me to keep om writing…
Bristol itself isn’t a city one needs to have seen, but the old town has got some nice old buildings

And of course pubs
And the promenade along the river is lovely.

I especially loved the airy and modern Millenium Square.
Ah yes, there are of course some graffities and as always we’ve been seeking for some „versiffte Gassen“
to explore the most unusual pieces of street art.

And being in the area of the famous Bansky, we’ve had a look at some of his work as well.

After one day we’re off to Cornwall.
